Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "Subscription Manager" (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), developed by Smart DevTech (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a Freemium service and is provided "AS IS" without any warranties.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. What Information Does the Application Obtain and How Is It Used?

a. User-Provided Information

When using the Application, you may voluntarily provide the following information during profile creation and login:

  • Name
  • Email Address

We use this information only to:

  • Create and manage your user profile
  • Enable secure authentication
  • Provide personalized features
  • Offer support or respond to queries (if contacted)

Note: We use Clerk as our secure authentication provider. Your login data is securely handled through Clerk's systems. We do not sell or share this information with any third party.

b. Subscription Data Storage

All subscription-related information you add to the Application (e.g., reminders, due dates, billing cycles) is stored locally on your mobile device.

We do not access, collect, transmit, or store this data on our servers or in the cloud.

This ensures complete privacy and control over your data.

c. Automatically Collected Information

The Application may collect limited non-personal data automatically for app performance and crash prevention, such as:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • Crash logs (if the app fails)

This data is not linked to your identity by us. Please note that our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects additional information automatically as described in Section 4 below.

d. Information Collected by Advertising Partners

The Application displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may automatically collect:

  • Advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS)
  • IP address and approximate (non-precise) location derived from it
  • Device information (model, operating system, language, mobile network)
  • App usage and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, time spent)

Full details are provided in Section 4 (Advertising) below.

2. Does the Application Collect Real-Time Location Data?

No. The Application does not collect or access your device's location data.

3. Do Third Parties Have Access to Your Information?

We do not sell your personal information. However, certain information is shared with the third-party service providers we rely on to operate the Application:

  • Clerk Authentication – for secure login and user identity management.
    Privacy policy: https://clerk.dev/legal/privacy
  • Google AdMob (Google LLC) – for serving in-app advertisements. AdMob may collect and process data as described in Section 4 below.
    Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses partner data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
  • Google Play Billing – for processing optional in-app premium subscription purchases. We do not see or store your payment details.

These providers act either as independent controllers (Google) or as processors on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments and applicable law.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Advertisements are only shown to users on the free tier of the Application. Users who upgrade to a paid premium plan (Monthly or Yearly) receive an ad-free experience — no advertisements are served, and the advertising data described in this section is not collected or processed for active premium subscribers.

While you are on the free tier, the Application uses Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob and its third-party advertising partners (which Google certifies under its policies) may collect and use the following information:

  • Advertising identifiers – e.g., Google Advertising ID (Android) or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA on iOS)
  • IP address – and the approximate (non-precise, city-level) location derived from it
  • Device and app information – device model, operating system version, language, mobile carrier, app identifier, and app version
  • Ad interaction data – ad impressions, clicks, time-in-ad, and ad performance metrics used for measurement and fraud prevention

This data is processed by Google to:

  • Serve and render advertisements within the Application
  • Measure ad performance and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Provide aggregated reporting to us as the app publisher
  • Where lawful (and, in the EEA/UK, only with your consent), personalize ads based on inferred interests

We do not share your name, email address, or any subscription data you enter into the Application with Google AdMob or any advertising partner.

a. Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

Where required by law, you will be presented with a consent prompt (powered by Google's User Messaging Platform / IAB TCF) the first time you launch the Application. You may choose:

  • Personalized ads – ads tailored to inferred interests using the data above (requires your consent in the EEA/UK).
  • Non-personalized ads (NPA) – contextual ads that do not rely on a behavioural profile. Limited data (such as coarse IP and device info) is still processed for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

You can change your choice at any time inside the Application via Settings → Privacy → Ad Preferences (or equivalent), which re-displays the consent screen.

b. List of Google's Advertising Partners

A full and up-to-date list of Google's certified advertising partners that may receive data for ad-serving is available at: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903

c. Opting Out at the Device Level

You can limit ad personalization at any time using your device's built-in controls:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track", and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off "Personalized Ads"

Opting out will not stop you from seeing ads (unless you are a premium subscriber) — it will only stop ads from being personalized.

d. Removing Ads Entirely

If you do not wish to see any advertisements at all, you can upgrade to a paid premium plan via Google Play Billing (see our Terms & Conditions for pricing). Active premium subscribers receive an ad-free experience for the entire duration of their subscription, and no AdMob requests are made from your device while your subscription is active.

5. What Are My Opt-Out Rights?

You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the Application from your device at any time.

You may also delete your account and associated profile information through the app interface or by contacting us at tracksubscription@gmail.com.

6. Data Retention Policy

  • User Profile Data (name and email): Retained as long as your account exists.
  • Subscription Entries: Stored locally on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.
  • Advertising Data: Retained by Google in accordance with Google's own data retention policies. See https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

If you'd like your profile data permanently deleted, email us at support@subscriptiontrackerapp.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed to and is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been provided, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal.

Consistent with Google AdMob's families and COPPA requirements, we have configured our ad requests so that, where a user is identified as a child or where we are unable to determine age, only non-personalized, contextual ads from Google's Families-self-certified ad network are served, and behavioural advertising identifiers are not used for ad targeting.

8. Security

We are committed to protecting your data and privacy.

  • User profile data is securely managed using Clerk authentication.
  • Locally stored subscription data stays only on your device.
  • No personal information is stored on our servers.

While we take precautions, no system is 100% secure. Use of the app is at your own discretion.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.

We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes implies acceptance.

10. Your Consent

By using the Application, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy, including the processing of your information as described. For advertising and any other processing that requires consent under applicable law (e.g., personalized ads in the EEA/UK), your consent is collected separately via the in-app consent prompt and can be withdrawn at any time.

11. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the following data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR:

  • Right to Access: You can request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request restriction of processing your personal data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request transfer of your data to another organization.
  • Right to Object: You can object to processing of your personal data, including processing for direct marketing or based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we (or our partners) rely on your consent — for example, to display personalized ads — you can withdraw it at any time via the in-app Ad Preferences screen, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Legal bases we rely on:

  • Contract – to create your account and provide the Application's core features.
  • Legitimate interests – to keep the Application secure, prevent fraud, and serve non-personalized advertising to maintain the free tier of the service.
  • Consent – for personalized advertising and any other processing where consent is required (collected via the in-app consent prompt).
  • Legal obligation – where we must process data to comply with applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 15 below. We will respond within 30 days.

12. Your Rights Under CCPA / CPRA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, provides you with additional rights, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including for cross-context behavioural advertising).

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising identifiers by Google AdMob for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through the in-app Ad Preferences screen or your device's advertising settings (see Section 4c).

13. Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience on our website:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function properly.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our website (only with your consent).

You can manage your cookie preferences by clicking Cookie Settings.

14. International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own — for example, to Google's servers in the United States for the operation of AdMob. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
